Testimonials

My husband and I stayed at Windsor Place for two months after his surgery. We stayed in a furnished respite apartment. This was a great decision. The staff at Windsor Place is kind and extremely helpful and will do almost anything to help a resident. The aides are wonderful and are available 24 hours a day. The three meals a day in the dining room are very good. We did not partake in many of the activities, but residents have a chance to do crafts, exercise, see movies, attend "happy hour" planned out with all COVID-19 precautions. Windsor Place Assisted Living is a very nice place to live when help is needed. We would definitely chose it again.

I wish to thank you for the splendid care you provided George for the two years he was with you. He was very happy at Windsor. Many times I would visit and find him sitting in the dining room with a big smile and tapping his feet to the "old time" music you had playing. The words to describe your wonderful staff are kind, conscietious, and compassionate. I would especially like to commend Windsor for your handling of the COVID pandemic. I always felt George was safe in your care. Your protocols were impeccable in protecting your residents. The many fine programs you offered your residents also impressed me. George always seemed busy and happy and engaged. Thank you!

Overall, we have found Windsor Place to be very good/excellent! Thank you! The staff are friendly and helpful - nursing, front desk, food service and housekeeping/maintenance. Sandra C. has been great to work with! She is very pleasant, working hard and in constant communication to help our parent's transition. We appreciate the willingness of the facility to allow my mother, Kathleen, to recently start taking part in activities on the Assisted Living side, although her unit is on the Enhanced side. She is enjoying he "expanded" activities in another part of the building. I realize that this does take extra time and attention for staff to oversee and monitor and it is greatly appreciated. Thank you! The dining room is beautiful and the food is very good. My parents enjoy the variety of meal choices available. The outside patio area is so pretty, inviting, well-landscaped and maintained. There is plenty of furniture and seating available in the sun or shade. The variety of activities offered is wonderful. The offsite field trips are so nice for the residents!

I chose Windsor Place in June of 2010 to be my Mom's new home based on my meeting with owners, Elissa and Dennis Sargent, and Maryann Barry, Marketing Director. In talking with them I was convinced that my Mom would be treated with respect and dignity. As I toured the Memory Care area and saw how the staff interacted so engagingly with the residents, I was convinced that this would be a place where my Mom would be well cared for and be very safe. During the nearly six years my Mom was at Windsor, I always felt good that I had made the right choice in choosing Windsor. I never encountered any staff member that I thought did not treat my mom or any other resident in a hurtful or inappropriate manner. My mom had an engaging way but she also had her mood swings. The Resident Care Director, Alicia, was needed for her benefit. My mom would always tell me how nice everyone was at Windsor and what a beautiful place it was. The receptionists, Lorraine, Joan and Pan always made it a point to talk to my Mom about what she was up to or give her a compliment which made both of us feel good. I am so thankful that I choose Windsor and met so many caring and considerate people.

I want to thank all of you for the wonderful care, support, and compassion you gave to our uncle, Hugh M. It was not home, but it was certainly the next best place to be in order for him to maintain his pride and independence. You are truly dedicated staff and you do your job well. On behalf of our family, I thank all of you who reached out and touched Hughie's life with your encouraging words, kind deeds, friendship, and company. We will remember his time at Windsor Place with much fondness

I appreciate your input about my dad and keeping to his routine. As always, thanks for keeping me in the loop. He is happy, cleaner, well-fed and enjoying Windsor Place, so we really can't as for anything more.

We'd like to thank you and Windsor Place for the delicious lunch yesterday. It was a great way for John to meet his table companion, Biel B. Everyone was so warm and friendly. I felt like we were with friends and family in just the short time we were there. What a special talent. Most appreciative of all you and the staff have done so far.

The only other assisted living facility I ever visited [another facility] where my friend lived. I decided to sell my home and I told my children that Assisted Living was right for me. A friend had come to your open house and told me about Windsor Place. My daughter and I visited twice and we love it! I am positive that having proactive owners is what makes this place as lovely as it is!! I am so pleased with Christine and the great thought-provoking games she plays and our interesting trips - she helps to make Windsor Place outstanding.

Windsor Place is a wonderful facility for our loved ones who can't live alone. the move in was very smooth and the staff was very helpful. Many activities and guest appearances are very interesting, such as the guest historian lecturer. Monthly birthdays are celebrated which is very nice. the food was very good and Evelyn loved her breakfast. All of the staff were very friendly, professional, and caring. The annual Christmas party was a special feature. The food and appetizers were never-ending. It was set up beautifully and food was delicious. Windsor Place is very clean and all residents are treated with dignity. It is the perfect choice!!

My mother really enjoyed her stay at Windsor. She loved the staff, people, food and activities. As her daughter, I always felt welcomed when I came in and I was always pleased to know that my mom was happy and very well-cared for at all times. Windsor is truly an island of paradise in the deep, murky sea of elderly care! I feel extremely lucky to have found such a wonderful community for her!

I wanted to take the time during this busy time of year to commend the Staff of your Memory Community for the excellent care they give to my mother, Pat. She's very happy at Windsor Place because of all the people who work there. I have a great appreciation for your Staff who have been very helpful to me with my mom's transition to Windsor Place. Your Staff know how to engage and motivate the residents. Your Staff is impressive, competent and kind, and most always have a smile. They have been so good to my mother. Everyone I have met has been PERFECT. I chose that word carefully, and yes, it's the right word.

Dear Elissa and Dennis, I've been remiss in not contacting you earlier to communicate to you my high regard for the employees you have at Windsor Place. I'd like to address several specifically, if I may. Having a parent in assisted care, in Hospice specifically, is a new chapter in my family's life. Joan, at the desk, has been a rock for me as far as negotiating my father's and stepmother's needs. She has helped facilitate pretty much anything and any need that is needed for their care. Most recently this involved the introduction of the VNA group and person to me who would ultimately take on my dad's hospice care (Paola of the Arlington group). I was familiar with other VNA's but following Joan's introduction and anecdotal information, I met with Paola and was convinced that the information given to me was valuable. Interestingly, a family with which I am close just these last few weeks ago reached out to me to ask if I could offer a Hospice recommendation. I offered Paola's information. Paola helped them through their mom's transition to death, after which they gave me glowing information about her. So Joan's positive circle of influence extended beyond the walls of Windsor Place. Joan has professionally, tactfully and compassionately, not to mention joyfully, helped me to feel at peace with my dad's care here at Windsor Place. I'd also like to thank John, your maintenance person, for not just the help that he's given to me and to my dad and Alla, but to remark that he has done so offering my dad the dignity that one can only hope that others will provide for their elder loved ones. My dad worked at MIT for decades and as such has great respect for those who build, engineer, etc. So I feel he appreciated John's efforts, and reciprocally John I believe senses that and offers my dad great courtesy. He, too, has accommodated our needs, possibly beyond what is normally expected, but is most gratefully appreciated. On another note, I'd like to thank you for all your efforts to keep everyone safe at WP. Though it may have been trying, you've been very accommodating, as well, and all your efforts are understood and appreciated. May we all have a happy and healthy spring!

I am SUPER impressed by the amount of activities you have scheduled for the residents. My mother came to Windsor during the peak of COVID so I didn't realize you folks offered all of these activities! My brother and I are jealous of all the cool opportunities the residents have. Thank you for taking such wonderful care of my mother. Since having her move into Windsor, for the first time in YEARS, my brother and I can breathe a sigh of relief knowing she is in great hands and is being treated like family. Thank you.
